Under the general direction of the Service Manager, the Service Electrician coordinates the installation, repair, and service of electric and electrical components on commercial, industrial, and residential projects and calls for service. The Service Electrician interacts regularly with customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Install, maintain, and repair existing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electric problems and malfunctions.
Organize, plan, and perform electrical work.
Evaluate customer requests and provide work order descriptions and price projects.
Perform work safely in accordance with company policies.
Journeyman electrical license required along with significant experience in the electrical field.
Must be able to use an iPad and related applications.
Must be able to work alone as well as with others.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with Local and National Electrical Codes, and Building Codes at local, state, and national levels.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb and work from ladders, and work in a variety of different conditions with varying temperatures and environmental factors.
Must have excellent communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with co-workers, clients, and vendors.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with the ability to travel to job sites.
